DS Jet environmentally friendly dry ice cleaning offers a fast, precise, and solvent-free solution for composite tool cleaning, helping manufacturers meet stringent industrial requirements.


Dry ice cleaning uses solid CO2 in the form of recyclable pellets, which are accelerated and propelled onto the surface to be cleaned using high-speed nozzles. Through a combination of kinetic energy and thermal gradient effects, dirt is dislodged from the substrate. Dry ice particles undergo sublimation from solid to gas upon impact, leaving behind no secondary waste. DS Jet dry ice cleaning eliminates the need for harsh chemicals, wire brushes, and abrasives, thus extending the life of molds. It is a non-abrasive mold cleaning solution that preserves critical dimensions and geometries of parting lines, sealing surfaces, and mold surfaces.

These molds and devices are used for applications such as compression molding, resin transfer molding, extrusion, pre-preg, and wet lay-up, all of which are suitable for dry ice blasting. This cleaning method safely removes various contaminants from molds without damaging them, including mold releases, epoxy resins, Teflon tapes, silicones, phenolic resins, carbon, graphite, and more.


Dry ice cleaning is faster and more efficient than traditional tool cleaning methods such as solvents, abrasives, and scrubbing. Modern dry ice blasting systems require less compressed air and consume less dry ice compared to the past. In many cases, tools can be cleaned in situ at operating temperatures without causing mold wear or damage, allowing for the full release of production capacity while improving product quality.
